Luings For Sale
Updated January 2026 - We have a good selection of rising 2 year old bulls for sale. Reared under completely commercial conditions these bulls won’t melt when you use them and should provide many years of service. We will keep the bulls here at no charge until they have been semen tested in April. Delivery can be arranged across Canada and they can be export tested for American customers.
Semen Available From The Following Bulls:
Medicine River Warrior 21W (pictured at 8 years old) A bull with exceptional longevity, breeding soundness coupled with perfect feet and legs. His dam reared calves until she was 23 years old. His daughters have proven to be more consistently trouble-free than any sire group I’ve ever owned. He was used extensively on heifers with no calving difficulties experienced. Heterozygous polled.
Berryfell X4 (pictured at 5 years old) A bull bred in Scotland by Wilbert and Scott Girvan using the same line-breeding methodology we have used in our own herd. Their selection was based on functional efficiency with particular emphasis on excellent udders and feet. Heterozygous polled.
Lochend Achayella 34P (pictured at 5 years old) bred by the late Dr Bob Church. He is fairly closely related to Medicine River Warrior in that his parents were both out of Lochend Luing 223U. This is a larger framed framed bull that will produce offspring with more growth and mature weight than the previous two bulls. The daughters we retained made successful cows that had notably less hair. Heterozygous polled.
